The Whimbrel continues to break records with its extended late stay in the Long Nab area where there were also 2 Lapland Buntings, a Snow Bunting and a Black-throated Diver flew south as did a female type Goosander.

In and around Cornelian Bay today were 3 Red-throated Divers, 2 Mallard, a Woodcock came in off the sea, a Ringed Plover, 7 Purple Sandpipers, 6 Turnstones, 23 Curlews, c50 Redshanks, c30 Oystercatchers, 2 Stonechats and 4 Reed Buntings.

Elsewhere we had a Dipper and a Grey Wagtail at Scalby Mills, a Red-breasted Merganser on The Mere and at Spikers Hill Farm a large flock of 80-100 Greenfinches, 23+ Redwings, 14+ Fieldfares and large numbers of Chaffinches and Yellowhammers.
