At
Long Nab today there was a female Goldeneye on the sea at Crook Ness and 2 Snow
Buntings in the stubble field north of the Obs, also a possible Water Pipit
flew over Crook Ness at 07.55 but unfortunately despite searching there was no
further sign of this bird.
To
the south of town in Cornelian Bay there were 4 Red-throated Divers, 2
Goldeneyes, 2 Wigeons, 4 Grey Plovers, 2 Ringed Plovers, 28 Purple Sandpipers
and Green Woodpecker and 5 Goldcrests in the ravine.
On
The Mere the ♂ and 3♀ female Goosanders
remained for another day and also a Mistle Thrush and a Sparrowhawk were seen
here.
