Friday 13th August
A Greenshank was at Johnson's Marsh this morning, joined by a Green Sandpiper later in the day. The Grasshopper Warbler was still singing, now at the Long Nab "scrape", together with a Reed Warbler. Northstile Pool now has 3 Green Sandpipers, plus 3 Grey Wagtails and 5 Teal. At least 60 Swifts were over Valley Road, plus a Hobby which was hunting them before heading off north.
