Saturday 14th August
A Greenshank and a Green Sandpiper were still at Johnson's Marsh this morning, and the Grasshopper Warbler was still singing at the Long Nab scrape. A Merlin flew south at Long Nab, 22 Sandwich Terns were feeding at Knipe Point, and a pair of juvenile Sanderlings were feeding at the north end of Cayton Bay in the late afternoon. Large numbers of Swifts were seen on the east side of Oliver's Mount, 3 Guillemots were in North Bay, and 2 Mediterranean Gulls (an adult and a juvenile) were at Scalby Mills.
