Friday 3rd September
A male Tawny Owl was heard calling on the early hours of this morning in the grounds of Scarborough Hospital. 15 Teal were at Johnson's Marsh, 2 Grey Wagtails and a Dipper were on the weir below Burniston Raod bridge near the Youth Hostel, and 4 Pintails flew in to Scalby Mills from the south. The main highlights from Long Nab were an adult Long-tailed Skua and 3 Sooty Shearwaters heading north, while at Wykeham East Lake there were 9 Teal and a Reed Warbler.
