Monday 27th September
An unconfirmed report of two Hawfinches at Burton Riggs (Birdguides report). A juvenile Caspian Gull was in front of the hide at Wykeham East Lake early evening, also there Scaup, 46 Wigeon, 10 Cormorants and 80 Lapwing in nearby fields. The Egyptian Goose pair on the Water Park still have 5 goslings. Highlights past Long Nab in gale force SSE winds were 333 Teal, 3 Pintail, 2 Red-breasted Mergansers, Mediterranean Gull and 8 Purple Sandpipers.
