Monday 6th September

27 Teal, 130 Canada Geese, a Dunlin, a Kingfisher and a Whitethroat were at Johnson's Marsh this morning. Highlights seen passing Long Nab include a Pintail, 441 Teal, 46 Red-throated Divers, 8 Shags, a Little Egret, 2 Ruff, 8 Snipe and a Mediterranean Gull, while a Wheatear arrived in front of the observation hut. This evening a Whimbrel was heard calling over Stepney and male and female Tawny Owls were calling near the Sixth Form College. A Wheatear flew south while a Little Egret and a Kingfisher flew north along South Cliff this morning. A Kingfisher, possibly the same one, was at the harbour this evening.
