Saturday 4th September
Highlights passing Long Nab this morning include a Great White Egret heading north, 3 Sooty Shearwaters, 11 Shelduck, a juvenile Yellow-legged Gull and 8 Arctic Skuas. 12 Curlew were at Scalby Lodge, while at Johnson's Marsh there were 125 Canada Geese, 2 Herons, 19 Teal and 12 Moorhens. A Whinchat and 2 Stonechats were at Cloughton Wyke this afternoon, and 2 Whimbrel flew north over Holbeck. A Bar-tailed Godwit, 4 Whimbrel and 2 Swifts flew south past Long Nab and a single Swift flew south over Burniston.
