Bird of the day was a Hawfinch photographed in the canopy of woodland at Cayton Bay late morning, before leaving south at 11.50. A long seawatch at Long Nab produced the first Black-throated Diver of the year, two Great Northern Divers, 77 Red-throated Divers, 8 Red-breasted Mergansers, 49 Shags, 13 Little Gulls, a Sandwich Tern, 4 Common & 11 Arctic Terns, a Pomarine Skua, Puffin, and a site record movement of Rock Pipits, 54 north, 4 south. The usual Kingfisher at the Open Air Theatre.
