A Water Rail was at a small pond at Cayton Bay. 10 Grey Herons at Seamer Road Mere. 15 Crossbills flew south over The Grand Hotel at dawn. 12 Wigeon,10 Ringed Plovers, and 2 Kingfishers at Scalby Mills. At Long Nab a Great Spotted Woodpecker was an unusual visitor to Pipe Gully. Seven Grey Plover were in the high tide roost at Cromer Point/Burniston Bay. 640 Pink-footed Geese flew south, and a Kingfisher flew north over the fields. A Great White Egret at Star Carr.
