Sunday 19th November

 Two Great Northern Divers were again in the harbour and the juvenile Black-throated Diver was in Cayton Bay. A Velvet Scoter flew south past Marine Drive with approximately 12 Common Scoter and seven Snow Buntings were still present on stubble by the bench approximately 100 meters south of pipe gulley. Waxwings today as follows; 20 plus in Scarborough Hospital grounds, approximately 20 mobile between Falsgrave Road and Sainsbury's and 18 in Willymath Close, Burniston. At Potter Brompton Carr across the whole site; Two White-fronted Geese, 56 Pink-footed Geese, four Great Egret, three Little Egret, a female Pintail, 11 Shoveler, 768 Teal, two Goldeneye, 630 Lapwing, two Water Rail, Willow Tit, approximately 800+ Starling, 90+ Linnet. Five Whooper Swans on Sherburn Ings and 350+ Golden plover in flight over Binnington Carr. 10 Little Egret and three adult Mediterranean Gulls were on Cayton/Folkton Carr late afternoon. One Pochard, nine Goldeneye, five Great Crested Grebe, 12 Mute Swan and 22 Cormorant were at North Yorkshire Water Park. At Scalby Mills a female Eider and a single Lapwing. An adult and a second winter Mediterranean Gulls were at South Bay, a male Peregrine on Castle headland and a Chiffchaff with a roving tit flock on Castle Hill. 83 Mallard and 19 Moorhen were at Peasholm Park.
