Sunday 5th November

 An increase in Waxwings today. 60+ at Beck Hole/Main Street, Cayton though very mobile. Up to 13 at Wreyfield Drive, 5 on Newlands Park Avenue, and 3 at Loftus Close. 300 Fieldfare at Coverdale Moor and 1,000+ around North Street bridge, Flixton. Seven Whooper Swans flew south over Gristhorpe. Less Pink-footed Geese on the move today; 80 west over NY Water Park, and 100 south over Wykeham Forest. 75 Gadwall at Seamer tip pool. A Red Kite flew NW over Scalby Beck. A late Wheatear at Cromer Point Water Treatment. A Cetti's Warbler in the NW corner of the water sports lake at NY Water Park. A Barnacle Goose, 2 Shoveler on East Lake, also 6 Great Crested Grebes, 5 Goldeneye, Fieldfare and Redwing at the park. To the south, 1400+ Golden Plover were circling Binnington Carr. Two Sandwich Terns were at Scalby Mills late afternoon.
