Friday 30th October

 3 Whooper Swans flew south past Marine Drive early this morning, and a Velvet Scoter was again in Jackson's Bay, diving frequently. A Marsh Tit was in Scalby Beck. A Willow Warbler, 2 Chiffchaffs and a Blackcap were in Cornelian Ravine, and a Water Rail was along the beck there. A Yellow-browed Warbler  and a Chiffchaff were in Holbeck Ravine, and a female Merlin was seen flying south through South Cliff. 6 Red-throated Divers and a Common Scoter were feeding in Cayton Bay. 80+ Pink-footed Geese flew south over Mere Valley and 130+ were seen over Hovingham Drive. A Peregrine was spotted over Yedmandale Road. 3 Lapland Buntings were in the stubble field near the Long Nab observatory, where a Black-throated Diver, a Great Northern Diver, and a Velvet Scoter flew north, and 3 Whooper Swans, a Grey Plover, 11 Rock Pipits and 2 Twite flew south. A Great White Egret was still at Wykeham Lakes, and in the Bridestones area of Dalby Forest there were 6 Marsh Tits, a Green Woodpecker, 5 Crossbills, 3 Mistle Thrushes and 4 Jays.
