Saturday 3rd October

 A Kingfisher was seen at Seamer Road Mere this morning, a Wheatear was on the outer harbour rock armour, and 100+ Lapwings were at Wykeham South Lake. Migrants observed at Long Nab included 2 Redstarts, a Whitethroat, 5 Blackcaps, 9 Chiffchaffs, 5 Bramblings, 55 Robins, 65 Redwings, 34 Song Thrushes and 34 Goldcrests, plus a second Whitethroat at Crook Ness. Migrants observed on Castle Hill were a Redstart, 6 Blackcaps, 6 Chiffchaffs, 5 Bramblings, 65 Robins, 15 Redwings, 35 Song Thrushes, a Ring Ouzel, a Willow Warbler and 60 Goldcrests. 5 Golden Plover and 26 Wigeon flew past south, and 7 Wigeon and 2 Shoveler flew past north.
