Migration watch; 06.40 – 09.30hrs.
On the move (north unless stated) were 1 Red-throated Diver south, 21 Fulmar, 126 Gannet + 11 south, 4 Teal, 1 Eider south, 3 Common Gull south, 1 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 147 Herring Gull + 16 south, 6 Great Black-backed Gull, 23 Kittiwake + 1 south and 13 Auk sp + 1 south.
The American Wigeon was still at Scalby Mills, 2 Pintail, 73 Teal, a Dunlin, 20 Wigeon, 18 Shoveler, 6 Shelduck, a Jack Snipe, 5 Snipe, 45 Lapwing, a Kingfisher and 14 Lesser Black-backed Gull were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access), 2 Water Rail were in the Open Air Theatre, 6 Shoveler, 12 Gadwall and a Pochard were on Seamer Tip, 9 Goosander were on Throxenby Mere, 2 Black-necked Grebe were in the Harbour, 31 Curlew were on Scalby Lodge Pond, 3 Knot were in Cornelian Bay and the first pair of Lesser Black-backed Gulls were noted back on territory on Spring Bank.
