Migration watch; 06.35 – 11.00hrs.
On the move (north unless stated) were 2 Red-throated Diver south, 80 Fulmar + 2 south, 99 Gannet + 12 south, 10 Cormorant + 4 south, 4 Shag, 5 Greylag Goose, 1 Oystercatcher south, 3 Black-headed Gull south, 3 Common Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 2 Great Black-backed Gull, 9 Kittiwake + 20 south, 7 Auk sp + 5 south, 6 Meadow Pipit, 5 Rock Pipit, 5 Alba, 1 Stonechat south, 21 Redwing, 8 Carrion Crow, 3 Starling, 5 Chaffinch, 11 Linnet, 1 Redpoll sp and 1 Yellowhammer.
A Jack Snipe, 3 Brambling, 2 Pintail, 103 Teal, 18 Shoveler, 4 Egyptian Geese and 7 Whooper Swan were on Potter Brompton Carr (no general access), 500 Golden Plover were on Willerby Carr, the Great Grey Shrike was seen again in Langdale Forest at Maw Rigg, 2 Black-necked Grebe were in the Harbour and the American Wigeon remained at Scalby Mills.
