Migration watch; 06.40 – 10.30hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 1 Fulmar + 3 north, 1 Gannet, 6 Cormorant + 2 north, 1 Shag + 24 north, 2 Greylag Geese north, 4 Shelduck, 2 Mallard, 11 Black-headed Gull + 2 north, 15 Common Gull + 6 north, 221 Herring Gull north, 9 Great Black-backed Gull + 3 north, 8 Kittiwake + 1 north, 3 Auk sp, 3 Skylark, 7 Meadow Pipit, 5 Alba, 1 Stonechat presumably in off before heading north, 2 Carrion Crow + 9 north, 1 Starling, 2 Chaffinch, 3 Greenfinch, 6 Linnet and 1 Reed Bunting.
The American Wigeon was still at Scalby Mills, 2 Black-necked Grebe were in the Harbour, 5 Mediterranean Gull were at Holbeck, 34 Redshank were on Scalby Lodge Pond, 4 White-fronted Geese, a Pochard, 4 Shoveler, 2 Pink-footed and a Barnacle Goose and 35 Yellowhammer were at Wykeham South Lake, 23 Dunlin and 105 Lapwing were on Cayton Carr, an Eider, 4 Grey Plover, 2 Knot and 2 Ringed Plover were in Cornelian Bay and a Woodcock was at Stoupe Brow.
