Migration watch; 09.45 – 11.15hrs.
On the move (north unless stated) were 11 Common Gull, 8 Meadow Pipit, 2 Alba, 4 Jackdaw, 2 Rook, 16 Carrion Crow, 21 Starling south, 16 Chaffinch, 6 Goldfinch and 9 Linnet.
A Chiffchaff was at Long Nab, 1 was in Scalby Beck, 3 were in Cornelian Ravine with a single Goldcrest and 2 were at Knipe Point.
A single Black-necked Grebe was in the Harbour, 48 Brambling were in New Dike Seamer Tip, 78 Fieldfare were in Star Carr, 2 Green Woodpecker were at Jugger Howe, 3 Jack Snipe and 2 Snipe were along Taylor Way.
On Potter Brompton Carr (no general access) there was a singing Willow Tit, 1 Jack Snipe, 2 Pintail, 12 Wigeon, 8 Shoveler, 53 Lapwing and 2 Snipe, a Bar-tailed Godwit was in Jackson’s Bay with 28 Oystercatcher, 12 Redshank, 11 Curlew and 6 Turnstone, 2 Stonechat were on Scalby Nab and 38 Wigeon were at Scalby Mills.
