8 Sandwich Terns were on the rocks at Scalby Mills this morning, and 19 in the afternoon together with 9 Redshanks including a juvenile. 13 Mandarins were seen at Harwood Dale Lake. A minimum of 60 Moorhens were at Seamer Road Mere, 33 of them juveniles of various ages. Also present were 7 juvenile Tufted Ducks and a Coot. A Redpoll was seen at Cayton Bay cliffs and 2 Red Kites were spotted over Hutton Buscel. A Nightjar was heard tonight at Ravenscar from the path from Smugglers Rock cottages.
