Highlights from Long Nab this morning included an Arctic Skua and 60 Manx Shearwaters flying north and 2 Great Crested Grebes flying south. 2 Honey Buzzards were seen displaying from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint mid-morning. On moorland above May Beck there were a pair of Whinchats feeding 3 fledged young, 5 Crossbills, a Siskin, a Green Woodpecker, 3 Common Buzzards, and good numbers of juvenile Willow Warblers. A Little Egret was seen heading east over Crossgates, and an adult Mediterranean Gull was on the sea at Holbeck.
