Birds seen on an early morning visit to Dalby Forest north of Allerston included 6 Tree Pipits, 7 Yellowhammers, 2 Willow Tits, 4 Marsh Tits, 4 Crossbills, 3 Garden Warblers, 5 Blackcaps and 4 Bullfinches. A
Minke whale was spotted about 2 miles offshore from Cloughton Wyke, heading north, and one was also seen nearly 2 hours later from Long Nab. 2
Arctic Skuas were seen off Marine Drive, and again from Long Nab, heading north. At Johnson's Marsh there was a flock of 100+ Swifts in the early afternoon. A Barn Owl was seen at Sawdon this evening.
