At Seamer Tip Pool this morning there was a Tufted Duck with 8 ducklings, plus 40 Goldfinches. Highlights passing Long Nab northwards were a Wigeon, 68 Teal, 384 Common Scoter, 4 Whimbrel, 41 Curlew, 7 Bar-tailed Godwits, 2 Great Skuas, a Mediterranean Gull and 2 Arctic Terns. A Tawny Owl was calling at Seavegate Gill in Forge Valley.
