A Short-eared Owl came in off the sea at Crook Ness this morning and flew south-west, and a dark phase Arctic Skua was seen heading south off Marine Drive. 4 Common Sandpipers were at the base of Holbeck Hill, and a Ringed Plover flew south. Also seen from Long Nab were a Wheatear, a dark phase Arctic Skua, 2 Whimbrel and a first summer Mediterranean Gull heading south, plus considerable Gannet movement. 7 Common Sandpipers were at Seamer Tip pool briefly before heading off east. The ring-tailed Hen Harrier was seen in the Scalby Lodge Pond area, while an Osprey, a Hobby and a Red Kite were spotted in the Dalby area, and a Great Skua went north past Marine Drive. A Little Egret, a Marsh Harrier and 8 Common Sandpipers were seen at Wykeham Lakes this evening.
