The first-winter Caspian Gull was again in fields at Long Nab this morning but no sign of any new migrants at Long Nab or Castle Hill in the easterly winds. A Kingfisher was at the Open Air Theatre, a regular site for this species. A Marsh Tit and 2 Chiffchaffs on the north side of Castle Hill where a single Brent Goose sp. flew north. (A small woodpecker seen in flight today at Wykeham Lakes was probably the Lesser Spotted seen yesterday).
