Wednesday 23rd September

A very wet day and less birders out and about today. Wykeham Lakes had a Pink-footed Goose with the Greylags, 3 Egyptian Geese, 9 Great Crested Grebes, 3 Wigeon, 58 Coot, Yellow Wagtail and Blackcap. A Chiffchaff was in East Ayton plus one on the rock armour of the outer harbour. A drake Eider flew south off the harbour. A skein of Pink-footed Geese flew over town in the dark at 8.20 p.m.
