Wednesday 9th September

 9 Pink-footed Geese flew south-west over Ravenscar this morning. At Wykeham South Lake there was a Great White Egret, a Common Sandpiper, a Yellow Wagtail, 10 Grey Herons and 2 Gadwall this morning, and this afternoon there were 43 Coot, 6 Great Crested Grebes, a Reed Warbler, a Sedge Warbler, 2 singing Chiffchaffs and 3 Tufted Duck, plus 46 Swallows moving through. 3 Egyptian Geese were at East Lake this afternoon. A Wheatear was in Jackson's Bay, and the Hen Harrier was again in the last field north of the sewage farm. A Whinchat was seen along South Cliff, and 15 Swifts were still feeding around Oliver's Mount with 200 House Martins. A Little Egret was at Johnson's Marsh this afternoon and 2 Greenland Wheatears were at Long Nab, where a Whimbrel and a Swift flew south, and about 35 Knot flew north this evening. An adult Mediterranean Gull was at Seamer Road Mere.
