A Great Grey Shrike was in Langdale Forest this afternoon east of RAF Fylingdales at co-ordinates 54.3613.-0.6402. Highlights of observations on Fylingdales Moor from Fen Bog featured two Red Grouse, three Golden Plover, one Common Snipe, one Common Buzzard, three Mistle Thrush, two Stonechat, two Meadow Pipit, two Reed Bunting and single Skylark . At Long Nab this morning, 49 Curlew were in the field behind the Obs (an increase over the last week) and a Common Scoter was on the sea. An adult Lesser Black backed Gull was at Scalby Mills. A male and female Northern Goshawk were over Crossgates this morning and an adult Mediterranean Gull and two Goosander were at Burton Riggs. A Great White Egret, Short-eared Owl and at least three Barn Owls were at Long Causeway Road, Wykeham this morning and three Little Egret and two Barn Owls were at Folkton STW. A Shelduck also flew west there.
