Tuesday 21st March

 Nine Chiffchaffs were in the Burton Riggs area today and an adult Mediterranean Gull in full summer plumage was in the field south of Seamer Tip Pool. Four Skylark, five Reed Bunting, two Chiffchaff, two Bullfinch and a drumming Great Spotted Woodpecker were the highlights in the Seamer Tip Pool area. Five Little Egrets were at Folkton Bridge and a Sand Martin flew north at Long Nab. A Willow Tit and a Woodcock were in Wykeham Forest and an Oystercatcher and four fly over Grey Herons were noted at the Water Sports Lake at North Yorkshire Water Park. Two Gadwall were at Seamer Road Mere and an adult and a second calendar year Peregrine Falcon were sparring along the cliffs at Castle Headland. Two Shelduck were at Johnson's Marsh early afternoon.
