A Goosander was still at Peasholm Park Lake and the long staying Whooper Swan at Seamer Road Mere appeared to have departed. A Great Crested Grebe was in South Bay, a littoralis Rock Pipit was at Black Rocks and eight Common Snipe were at Cornelian. A Tawny Owl was calling from the wood opposite Dean's Garden Centre on Seamer Road and three Common Buzzards were over the same wood. In Dalby Forest from Low Dalby to Adderstones there were two Willow Tit (Snever Dale Rigg), 12 Common Crossbill, five Lesser Redpoll and four Common Buzzard. A surprise for the residents of a Ravenscar house was the presence of a Ring-necked Parakeet which visited their garden feeders this afternoon. An incredible 14 Barn Owls were reported this afternoon along Long Causeway Road, Wykeham.
