Three Lesser Redpoll frequented a Burniston garden this morning, two Little Ringed Plover were at Potter Brompton Carr and 13 Whooper Swans flew north over Wrench Green. A Raven flew south at Cloughton Wyke and a Red-throated Diver fed offshore there. In Dalby Forest this morning, four Brambling were near Adderstones Field and one Willow Tit, four Marsh Tit, c200 Siskin, six Lesser Redpoll, 22 Common Crossbill and 90 Linnet were at Haygate. Two Little Owls were in a tree by the walled garden at Hutton Buscel and a Red Kite flew south over Brompton. One Barn Swallow, 37 Sand Martins, one Goosander, eight Goldeneye and five Lesser Black-backed Gulls were at the North Yorkshire Water Park Wykeham Lakes complex. Highlights south through South Cliff this morning featured one White Wagtail, three Chiffchaff, 242 Chaffinch and 137 Siskin. Eight Mediterranean Gulls including five 1st summer individuals (only 3 x 1st Winters have over wintered), were along South Cliff. A Little Ringed Plover was sound recorded over Crossgates last nght.
