Sunday 10th November

  The Snow Bunting flock at Long Nab stubble field had increased threefold to 23 this morning. A Lapland Bunting still present. Passing Long Nab this morning were 200 Pink-footed Geese, a Goldeneye, seven Great Northern Divers (including three together), a Mediterranean Gull, a flava Wagtail and a Brambling. Two Goldeneye and four Common Scoter flew south past Scalby Mills and a redhead Goosander was in North Bay. A Red-throated Diver and five Turnstones at the harbour. Single Pochard were at Peasholm Park lake and Burton Riggs. 12 plus Crossbills, three singing, were above Wrench Green and a Goldcrest unseasonably singing in a garden there. A cream crown Marsh Harrier, Sparrowhawk, Common Buzzard and male Goldeneye were at East Lake, North Yorkshire Park. A Great Northern Diver was between Holbeck and Cornelian and three Shoveler were at Johnson's Marsh.
