Migration watch; 07.05 - 15.25hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 5 Red-throated Diver + 1 north, 1 Great Northern Diver north, 331 Gannet + 153 north, 6 Cormorant, 1 Shag north, 38 Wigeon + 1 north, 1 Mallard, 1 Tufted Duck north, 1 Eider north, 10 Common Scoter + 31 north, 4 Goosander, 1 Pomarine Skua north, 3 Great Skua, 1 adult Mediterranean Gull north, 13 Black-headed Gull + 5 north, 13 Common Gull + 52 north, 9 Great Black-backed Gull + 51 north, 1 Kittiwake + 37 north, 39 Auk sp + 48 north, 15 Skylark, 3 Swallow north, 2 Rock Pipit + 4 north, 1 Grey Wagtail, 17 Starling + 74 in off and west and 12 Linnet.
In the Long Nab area were 40 Skylark, 6 Meadow Pipit, 8 Blackbird, 2 Song Thrush, 2 Redwing, 1 Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff, 21 Goldcrest, 11 Long-tailed Tit, 2 Coal Tit, 1 Brambling, 2 Siskin, 170 Linnet and 3 Reed Bunting while 2 Firecrest were seen again on Castle Hill.
Three Great Grey Shrikes were discovered in Langdale Forest during the afternoon, 2 in the usual areas at Maw Rigg and Low Woof Howe and one on North Side.
