Saturday 17th October 2015

The highlight of the day was a PALLAS'S WARBLER discovered along the old railway line near the Manor road bridge, the first in the area for two years.
Another good find was a GREAT EGRET feeding in a ditch on Flixton Carr, with an unconfirmed report of one in Scalby Beck yesterday it seems likely that this is that bird.
It was generally quiet elsewhere, a minimum of 1000 Redwing flew west over town between midnight and 05.00hrs, and a Kestrel, 12 Robin, 3 Song Thrush, 2 Redwing, 18 Goldcrest and 3 Siskin were at Long Nab.
