Migration watch; 07.45 - 17.40hrs.
On the move (south unless stated) were 4 Red-throated Diver, 1 Fulmar, 2 Sooty Shearwater, 4 Cormorant + 5 north, 3 Brent Geese north, 110 Pink-footed Geese, 16 Wigeon, 72 Teal, 1 Mallard, 7 Common Scoter, 1 Purple Sandpiper, 2 Dunlin, 2 Great Skua, 12 Black-headed Gull, 2 Common Gull + 6 north, 3 Kittiwake, 123 Auk sp + 1 north, 6 Meadow Pipit, 1 Rock Pipit, 1 Starling, 2 Chaffinch, 1 Brambling, 2 Goldfinch and 44 Linnet.
With the winds finally coming from the desired direction it wasn't too much of a surprise that a few migrants arrived, at Long Nab there were 27 Robin, 1 Wheatear, 5 Blackbird, 3 Ring Ouzel (left west), 36 Song Thrush (left west), 130 Redwing (left west), 2 Blackcap, 4 Yellow-browed Warbler, 8 Chiffchaff, 21 Goldcrest and 35 Siskin.
Migrants on Castle included 138 Redwing, 34 Song Thrush, 7 Blackbird, 7 Chiffchaff, 2 Yellow-browed Warbler and 4 Goldcrest.
