Thursday 8th - Friday 9th October 2015

A couple of quiet-ish days, the 8th produced a Marsh Harrier over South Cliff, a Yellow-browed Warbler ringed at Stoupe Brow where 50 Pink-footed Geese flew south and 3 Yelow-browed Warbler were on Castle Hill.

The 9th was thankfully at little more lively...

Migration watch 17.05 - 18.40hrs.
On the move south were 200 Pink-footed Geese, 1 Meadow Pipit, 2 Rock Pipit and 3 Linnet.
Elsewhere a Ring Ouzel, 12 Song Thrush, 6 Redwing, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Blackcap, 2 Chiffchaff and 4 Lesser Redpoll were on Bent Rigg Lane, a Kingfisher was along Marine Drive and 5 Song Thrush, a Chiffchaff, a Yellow-browed Warbler and 3 Goldcrest were at Long Nab.
