There was evidence of some freshly arrived migrants along the coast but the thick sea fret and often heavy rain didn't help with searching for them.
Bent Rigg Lane produced 15 Song Thrush, 1 Blackcap and 2 Goldcrest, a Grey Wagtail, 2 Song Thrush and 6 Goldcrest were at Hayburn Wyke, 13 Song Thrush, 3 Redwing, 1 Blackcap, 1 Chiffchaff and 7 Goldcrest were along Hood Lane, 1 Lapwing, 4 Song Thrush, 1 Chiffchaff and 10 Goldcrest were between Cloughton and Long Nab.
On Castle Hill there were 17 Song Thrush, 7 Blackbird, 1 Blackcap, at least 5 Yellow-browed Warbler (1 new), 6 Chiffchaff and 7 Goldcrest.
Recorded on the move (south unless stated) were 2 Mute Swan, 80 Barnacle Geese and 4 Teal north.
Elsewhere a Brambling was in Crossgates and 10 Mandarin, a Great Crested Grebe and 63 Coot were on Wykeham South Lake.
