Three
Great White Egrets were feeding at the River Derwent south of Wykeham Lakes. The drake
Scaup was still at Burton Riggs. Scalby Mills had 118 Wigeon and a Kingfisher. A Kingfisher was also feeding from the rocks at Long Nab where a pair of Stonechats were near the observatory. Two
Waxwings made a brief early visit to berries at Willymath Close, Burniston but had not returned by midday. Two Great Crested Grebes were in Cornelian Bay. Perhaps more thrushes arriving from the east; two Redwings at Crook Ness and Hood Lane at Cloughton held 12 Redwings and 10 Blackbirds.
