Waxwings were again seen in Crossgates - 8 in trees off Heron Lane, and later in trees behind Plover Gardens. 80 Pink-footed Geese, 6
White-fronted Geese and 130 Lapwings were on Cayton Carr, while 2
Great Egrets, about 920 Lapwings, a Redshank, a Dunlin and 12 Snipe were at Potter Brompton Carr. 400+ Golden Plover were seen at Cockmoor Hall, 80+ Siskins and 2 Dippers were spotted in Troutsdale, and a female
Hawfinch was perched by the Hilla Green bridge. A male and a female
Goshawk and a
Merlin were seen from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint, where a single Waxwing flew over south. In the Ebberston Common area of Dalby there were 4 Willow Tits, 15 Crossbills, and a Goshawk flew overhead. 8 Ringed Plovers were at Scalby Mills, a Chiffchaff and a Redshank were at Seamer sewage works, and a
Water Rail and 10
Grey Partridges were on the east side of Seamer Tip. A Kingfisher and a Grey Wagtail were seen at the top of Peasholm, and on Johnson's Marsh there were 55 Canada Geese, 9 Herons, 9 Curlew and 17 Teal. At North Ings/Low Marishes there were about 300 Teal, 80 Wigeon,a Goosander, 120 Mallard, 40 Gadwall, 8 Herons, and 2000+ Starlings heading to roost.
