Sunday 16th May
2 second year Iceland Gulls flew north past Long Nab this morning, plus a Manx Shearwater, a Ringed Plover, 7 Turnstones and 4 Dunlin, while 800 Razorbills went south. A Little Egret was at Seamer Mead; a Wheatear and 2 Red-legged Partridges were on Seamer Carr where 4 Buzzards were in the vicinity. At Wykeham Water Park Lake there were 2 Swifts, 2 Common Sandpipers, 2 Oystercatchers and a Greenshank which was calling. An Egyptian Goose was at Harwood Dale Lake together with 2 Oystercatchers, 30 Woodpigeons and a Pied Wagtail, while 2 Turtle Doves were at the Mill Inn. A Lesser Whitethroat, a Willow Warbler and several Orange Tip butterflies were at Seamer Tip Pool. An Acredula type Willow Warbler was on South Cliff this morning, while a Willow Warbler and a Hobby were on Castle Hill, and the 2 Great Northern Divers were yet again in South Bay. A pair of Yellow Wagtails were spotted on the backroad between Allerston and Ebberston. 2 Hobbys, a Cuckoo and 2 Spotted Flycatchers were seen in Dalby Forest.
