Thursday 27th May
A Cuckoo and a Garden Warbler were at Harwood Dale early this morning, and the Wood Warbler was still present in Broxa Forest. Unusually for this time of year, 2 male Siskins were reported to be on garden feeders on Heron Lane. 2 Ospreys (plus 2 Swifts) were at Wykeham Lakes, seen in trees at the east end of Predator Lake before one flew off towards Hutton Buscel. 2 Puffins, a Red-throated Diver, a Goosander and 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls flew north at Long Nab, while 22 Common Scoter flew south. A Shag was in the harbour. An Osprey was seen from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint, but no Honey Buzzards were seen in 10.5 hours of observation.
