4 Little Egrets were by the thatched cottage in Thornton Dale this morning, 2 Water Rails were at the Open Air Theatre, and 2 Great Northern Divers were in the harbour. 18 Crossbills, about 60 Siskins , 4 Bramblings and 2 Marsh Tits were seen at Haygate/Dalby, and at least 3 Goshawks were seen from Wykeham Raptor Viewpoint. At least 8 Marsh Tits, 5 Coal Tits, 15 Chaffinch, 2 Nuthatch, a Jay, a Great Spotted Woodpecker, and numerous Great, Blue and Long-tailed Tits were seen in Forge Valley this afternoon. 15+ Red-throated Divers were off Long Nab; a Great White Egret was by the river Derwent below Wykeham; and Sparrowhawks were seen over Lyell Street and in a Burniston garden.
