Saturday 12th February
A number of Pink-fooetd Geese were seen flying north this morning: a skein over Scalby Mills area, about 100 over Crossgates, 165 followed an hour later by 122 at Long Nab (plus one south - changed its mind?) At Wykeham East Lake there were 108 Lapwings, 2 Great Crested Grebes and 5 Egyptian Geese while at South Lake there were 5 Oystercatchers, 2 Pochard, 18 Goldeneye, 7 Great Crested Grebes, 2 Little Grebes and 23 Cormorants.
