Thursday 17th February
The Water Rail was again seen at the Open Air Theatre this morning. A Little Egret and a Dipper were seen at Ellerburn Farm, and a small number of Bramblings were mixed in with Chaffinches at Wilton Heights. 10 Curlew were at Scalby Lodge ponds and 2 Great Northern Divers were again in the harbour. A Bittern and a Jack Snipe were detected at the eastern end of Seamer Tip pool. About 35 Lapwing flew south over Wrench Green, while 2 Barn Owls were hunting in the valley south of the village.
