Sunday 8th May
A relatively quiet day began with a Sedge Warbler seen at Wrench Green and a Common Tern north at Long Nab. Six Sandwich Tern were feeding in North Bay and a male Whinchat was seen at Ellerbeck. Six Purple Sandpipers were roosting at the Harbour at high tide. At Swairdale in Dalby Forest, a two hour period of obserevations produced two Garden Warblers, eight Tree Pipits, Sparrowhawk and good numbers of Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff and Blackcap. Three House Martins were reported in Huttone Buscel. A Cuckoo in fields just south of Wykeham Lakes.
