Passerines were showing signs of pair establishment today, particularly tit species. Two Song Thrushes were in a Stepney Road garden early morning and a drake and three redhead Goosanders were at Peasholm Park Lake. 26 Curlew were in a field north of Crook Ness with a further seven Curlew in a field near Scalby Lodge Pond. Three singing Skylarks, six Reed Buntings, one Yellowhammer and three Grey Heron were also present. Two drake Common Scoter were in Cayton Bay and a Willow Tit was at the motor cycle track at Seamer Tip. 10 Gadwall and two Grey Partridge were at Seamer Tip Pool and two Marsh Tit and nine Greenfinch were at Burton Riggs.
