The Bittern was again at Seamer Road Mere. It was seen in flight before landing on one of the islands on the Mere. Also present there were two Mediterranean Gulls, one Marsh Tit, two Lesser Redpoll, two Siskin and the long staying Whooper Swan. A Great Northern Diver was in South Bay and eight Common Snipe were at Cornelian. 100 plus Yellowhammer remained in Middle Deepdale and 200 Linnet were along The Dell between Eastfield and Oliver's Mount. A flock of 20 Long-tailed Tits was a notable record in a garden at Old Cowgait, Hutton Buscel. A Great Northern Diver, a Goosander and two Shoveler were at Wykeham Lakes. A Red Kite, Goshawk, Great Spotted Woodpecker and 10 Siskin were the highlights of observations in Troutsdale this afternoon.
