Thursday 22 December 2016

Most of the news today concerned species that were still present in the area. The Red-throated Diver at Peasholm Park Lake, the Great Northern Diver and 2 Black-necked Grebes in the harbour and the Velvet Scoter in Cayton Bay with 9 Common Scoter and a Red-throated Diver.

Elsewhere at Seamer Tip pool there were 6 White-fronted Geese, a Pink-footed Goose and a Barnacle Goose with the Goose flock and a Shelduck flew over, a Chiffchaff was at Burton Riggs and 3 adult Mediterranean Gulls were around the Holbeck car park this morning.
