Firstly
we have some late news from yesterday; there were 11 Shore Larks and a Snow Bunting seen at Crook Ness. Also the Shag
seen yesterday with the green darvik ring was ringed as a chick earlier this
year on the Isle of May.
Today
was fairly quiet with very little being seen. The bird of the day was a
Short-eared Owl at Ganton Dale Farm, Staxton, this afternoon reported by Frank
Shearer. Also a large flock of 150+ Redwings and Fieldfares were seen in hedges
about 1 mile north of the A64 on the B1258 near Knapton Lodge. Late news in concerns the continued presence of 11 Shore Larks at Crook Ness.
