Waxwings
were back in the news with 17 on Seamer Road outside Pets At Home and Brantano,
not just catching up with some shopping this was definitely the crowd before
the Boxing Day sales. Also 8 were reported outside Grip Cycles, Dunslow Road in
Eastfield today.
The
Black-necked Grebe remained in the Outer Harbour, the Red-throated Diver was
still in Peasholm Park but was looking rather unwell, North Bay held a
Red-throated Diver plus 2 Common Scoter and in South Bay there were 2
Red-throated Divers.
On
Harwood Dale Lake there was a Pintail and 3 Goosander, at Staintondale a single
Raven was seen and at Seamer Tip pool there were 9 White-fronted Geese.
Elsewhere
at Deepdale there was a Woodcock and 2 Crossbills, c70 Redpolls at Staindale, 3
Grey Plovers in Cornelian Bay and 7 Mediterranean Gulls (6 ads and 1 2nd
winter) at Holbeck.
