Not all that much to report today but the discovery of 36 Tundra Bean Geese on Seamer Carr was a record count for the Scarborough area, there was also a White-fronted Goose in the flock.

The Black Redstart and Stonechat were seen on the sea defences near the Albert Café by lamp post 27. In the harbour the 2 Great Northern Divers and Black-necked Grebe maintained their status and in South Bay there were 2 Long-tailed Ducks and 3+ Common Scoter.

Approximately 40 Pink-footed Geese flew east over Hutton Buscel at 15.50, a Water Rail was at the Open Air Theatre and a mere 1730 Starlings came in to roost in Old Town this evening.

Finally there were 6 Mediterranean Gulls at Holbeck but today only 4 adults, the other two were a 1st winter and a 2nd winter.

1st winter Mediterranean Gull - Holbeck - Tony Clarke
Tundra Bean Geese - Seamer Carr - Dave Mansell
